Almost, Catalonia (an adaptation of Almost, Maine by John Cariani) is about relationships and love stories that “almost” come together (or fall apart). In the world of Almost, these playful and surreal occurrences are universal. On one particularly chilly and magical night, the residents of Almost — too populated to qualify as a wilderness but not organized enough to be a town — encounter the transformative power of the human spirit. As strangers become friends, friends become lovers, and lovers become strangers, relationships end, start, or alter beyond recognition.
